Disclosure (director/producer Sam Feder, producer Amy Scholder, 2020) is a groundbreaking documentary about transgender depictions in film and television. Selected for inclusion at the Sundance Film Festival and the Tribeca Film Festival and released on Netflix in 2020, the film is notable for centering the voices and skills of trans creatives in the production process as well as its unique mentorship program for trans people interested in pursuing filmmaking. The documentary features interviews with: Nick Adams, Alexandra Billings, Laverne Cox, Zackary Drucker, Yance Ford, Bianca Leigh, Tiq Milan, Jen Richards, Brian Michael Smith, Susan Stryker and Lilly Wachowski.
The UCLA Film & Television Archive holds extended interview footage from Disclosure, while the UCLA Library Special Collections holds documents, artwork, photographs, press highlights, outreach and educational toolkits, and other ephemera relating to the film and its production.
