In a press conference, Mayor Tom Bradley reports on his earlier meeting with his staff and the representatives from the state reconciliation service. He was briefed on developments in the continuing negotiations for the ongoing bus strike that began on August 12, 1974. Bradley intends to discuss with both sides his plan to appoint a mediator representing the mayor’s office to help bring the parties together and restore bus service. Ralph Woolpert, vice chairman of the Mayor’s Labor Management Committee stands with Bradley at the podium. Mayor Bradley responds to several questions from the press.
