We the Workers (2017)

An ideal fusion of direct cinema with the activist praxis of direct action, Wen Hai’s We the Workers brings us as close as possible to the conditions of Chinese factory workers who are struggling to build a new labor movement in China. Over the course of this immersive documentary, activists build workers’ coalitions, all the while evading police surveillance and suppression.
