Gringo Trails

This provocative documentary charts the epic encounter between global tourists seeking authentic experiences in far-flung settings, and the ecological and cultural impacts of the widening "gringo trail" that they follow.  Surveying both adventurers and individuals in South America, Africa and Asia who facilitate their journeys, Gringo Trails weighs the tenuous balance between tourists' individual "awakenings," and the emerging consciousness of the effects of tourism itself.
