In this internationally acclaimed documentary, director Ilian Metev rides along with the three-person crew of one of the last remaining emergency ambulances serving the Bulgarian capital city of Sofia. Metev’s observational approach leaves patients and trauma respectfully off-screen while revealing both a shocking breakdown of essential services in the city of 1.3 million and the dogged dedication of the ambulance’s two doctors and driver in the face of it.
