Film critic B. Ruby Rich, who coined “new queer cinema” to describe the boom of early-90s LGBT movies, returns to Outfest to discuss and sign her acclaimed new book “New Queer Cinema.” Following a screening of André Téchiné’s The Witnesses (2007), Rich will speak about international queer film since the 1990s. Set in 1984 Paris, Téchiné’s powerful, poignant film depicts a group of friends and lovers impacted by AIDS.
