Directed by Victor Fleming
Tracy preferred to act the part of evil Mr. Hyde with minimal makeup, his performance turning more on manner than on visual trickery. Perhaps one of the greatest leaps of his career into a genre and character type out of his usual line, the film is in some ways an extension of the transformation he underwent in Fury.
