Archive Event Audio Recordings

For decades, UCLA Film & Television Archive has brought world-renowned film and television artists, academics, preservationists, dignitaries and other guest speakers to our cinematheque audiences at the Billy Wilder Theater and James Bridges Theater at UCLA.  The vital introductions, conversations and panel discussions at these events have included luminaries such as film preservationist Robert Gitt, noted film critic Pauline Kael and celebrated filmmakers Julie Dash and Paul Thomas Anderson, among hundreds of others.  Audio recordings of select public programs are now available for research listening by appointment at UCLA, providing a unique primary resource for study covering many facets of classic and contemporary Hollywood and international cinema.

Sample list of recorded guests:  Kathryn Bigelow, Francis Ford Coppola, Roger Deakins, Arthur Dong, Curtis Hanson, Nina Menkes, Pat Rocco, Stephanie Rothman, Johnnie To, Melvin & Mario Van Peebles and many others.
