Interview with Jewel Thais-Williams and spouse Rue Thais-Williams. Together they founded Rue’s House, an organization that provided shelter and services to women and children living with HIV and AIDS in Los Angeles. Jewel Thais-Williams founded and owned the landmark Jewel's Catch One disco, which operated from 1972 to 2015 in the Arlington Heights neighborhood of Los Angeles and provided a safe space for LGBTQIA and Black communities.
