Announcer introduction: "With a stubborn, tearful insistence Rosie Goldberg is refusing to act up to the expectations of her parents... This is difficult for Rosie who is more than just a loving daughter... she admires her parents... especially Molly... and yet Rosie is refusing to give up her college money so that it can be used for her sister-in-law, Grace. From the very beginning, Rosie has disliked and been suspicious of Grace... But Rosie can't tell this to her mother and father... Announcer close: "Under Jake's dramatization of himself, the real course of his feelings are deep. He is profoundly, deeply hurt by Rosie's action... for Jake knows he's right... and he can't possibly imagine a single reason for Rosie's refusal. Molly, however, should be more sensitive... especially now that David has refused also..."
